Uprooting Bias is an online learning challenge from Step Up: Equity Matters. Think of it as a fitness challenge to work your equity muscles. Over the course of 9 days, you’ll receive 9 challenge prompts to deepen your ability to recognize, own, and disrupt biases to foster inclusive and equitable workplaces.

Sign up above to receive the first challenge prompt for free. If you like it, you can sign up for the full challenge for $25. Then, you’ll receive daily email prompts for the following 8 days to complete short challenges. Most challenges will take 5-15 minutes.
Prompts will include self reflection, quizzes, videos, and other interactive content.
Most prompts include online sharing as a way to process the concepts. Only the Step Up administrators will see individual responses connected to names. After each prompt, anonymous responses will be visible to others participating in the challenge. If you are participating as part of a team or company, your team leader will see anonymous responses for your team specifically.
You can register your team to build a shared understanding for workplaces, departments, change teams, or ERGs to learn and grow together. Team member responses will be anonymized, grouped, and shared back to team leader(s) along with discussion prompts for the group. Upon completion, teams will receive personalized recommendations for next steps. Learn more.
Each Challenge prompt will be delivered by email. To engage in the activities, you’ll use Mentimeter, an online engagement platform that works great on desktops, tablets, and smart phones. There will also be some external links to videos and articles. You don’t need any special apps to participate.
