Angela is an accomplished human-centered leader with a proven track record in advancing sustainable workforce strategies that seamlessly align organizational culture, talent development, and business objectives. With a career spanning finance, technology, and pharmacology research and development industries, Angela has partnered with community organizations, nonprofits, and large corporations to craft and refine short- and long-term diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies. She is committed to creating innovative, scalable programs that align equity with business goals, ensuring DEI initiatives drive lasting, meaningful change.

Angela has made substantial contributions to driving diversity and inclusion at scale throughout her career. In her most recent role at American Family Insurance, Angela led transformative initiatives to enhance diversity, resulting in a remarkable 50% increase in racial and ethnic diversity and a 50% gender balance within a short time frame in the high-tech sector. She also co-led the creation of the company's Supplier Diversity Program, which saw a 300% increase in diverse supplier spending in its first year. Her strategic leadership in these areas has helped reshape corporate DEI practices while also supporting broader community impact.

Angela holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and has earned several prestigious certifications, including Diversity and Inclusion credentials from Cornell University and the Institute for Diversity. She is also certified in Lean Six Sigma and Values-Based Leadership, further enhancing her ability to lead with data-driven insights and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Beyond her corporate roles, Angela is deeply committed to community service and advocacy. She currently serves on the board of Collaboration for Good, Inc., where she works to foster financial independence and leadership within underserved communities. As a commissioner on the City of Madison's Zoning Board of Appeal, Angela plays a key role in ensuring equitable land-use decisions. She is also an active member of the AAPI Coalition of Wisconsin, where she leads advocacy projects focused on amplifying AAPI voices and combating anti-Asian hate and racism.

Angela's multifaceted expertise in DEI, community engagement, and organizational transformation positions her as a dynamic leader committed to creating positive, long-term impact for both businesses and society.
